Honourary Members

  1. The Board of Directors and Committee voted unanimously to make Ken Buchanan MBE a Honorary Member in 2001.
  2. The Board of Directors and Committee voted unanimously to make Tommy Gilmour a Honorary Member in 2006.
  3. The Board of Directors and Committee voted unanimously to make Charlie Wright a Honorary Member in 2008.
  4. The Board of Directors and Committee voted unanimously to make Ray Caulfield a Honorary Vice President in 2008.

Presidents

  1. The Board of Directors and Committee voted unanimously to make Freddie Mack the first President of the Scots Boxing Hall of Fame in 2001.
  2. The Board of Directors and Committee voted unanimously to make Toby Dixon the first Vice President of the Scots Boxing Hall of Fame in 2006.

Special Honours

The Board of Directors and Committee unanimously agreed to honour the 1956 Olympians for their remarkable achievements at the Melbourne Olympics on their 50th Anniversary.

A special award was presented to the following at the 2008 Induction Ceremony:

  • Terry Spinks (Flyweight) 1956 Gold Medal Winner
  • Tommy Nicholls (Featherweight) 1956 Silver Medal Winner
  • Nicky Gargano (Welterweight) 1956 Bronze Medal Winner
  • John (Cowboy) McCormack (Light Middleweight) 1956 Bronze Medal Winner
  • Dick McTaggart (Lightweight) 1956 Gold Medal Winner and Winner of the Val Barker Trophy.
