Hi my name is Frann Kilpatrick, My grandfather was Frank McKenna, he fought under the name of Frank Kenny.
He was the featherweight champion of Scotland before the second world war happened. I am very proud of my grandfathers acheivements. I have programs, news paper clippings of his fights, and they are just rotting away. I would like them to be preservered for future generations to appreciate the skill of boxing in the early 20th century. I have though about donating these items to his army regiment that he served with during the second world war, I am open to suggestions about who I should give these items to.
I just want these items to be looked after, in an appropriate environment so that they will hopefully last for another couple of centuries.

                                                         Yours sincerly
                                                                 Frann Kilpatrick

I sparred with John when he was training for his fight with Harry Scott from Liverpool.
It was in the '60s and John was training at Gus Harris's gym in Maidstone. I trained with him for several days and he was superb. He stayed in the pub across the road from the gym and he trained and played hard.He was always an absolute gentleman and an outstanding boxer whom I shall never forget. I wonder if he remembers that time?

I was at school with Peter Harrison in the same class and have very fond memories of him. We went to Paisley ice rink a couple of times. I left Rutherglen in 1969 never to return. Over the years I have always wondered what happened to Peter. I am pleased to see that things worked out well for you.
Take care, kind regards, Helen
